About
The One Lap of America (OLA) is an endurance rally that takes place in the US over a 9 day period in May 2004. The 2004 OLA covers over 5600 miles and includes speed stages as well as transit driving. The event starts at the Tire Rack in South Bend, IN with stops in Kansas, Colorado, California, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin before returning to South Bend.
The event is organized by Brock Yates (author and columnist) and was formally known as the Cannonball Run. You may remember the movies. Over 100 competitors are expected to take part in this year’s event. We will be competing in the Vintage Import class with our 1979 Porsche 911 SC. The car has been extensively modified to provide maximum performance during the event and we expect to be very competitive. We have competed in the past three events with Class victories in 2002 and 2003. This year we are aiming to repeat our class wins and place in the top 15 overall.
